{"id":1399,"date":"2009-02-18T08:41:12","date_gmt":"2009-02-18T08:41:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nintendodsstockists.co.uk\/?p=1399"},"modified":"2009-02-18T08:41:12","modified_gmt":"2009-02-18T08:41:12","slug":"black-white-ds-lites-to-be-discontinued","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/kissmyconsole.co.uk\/nintendo-ds\/black-white-ds-lites-to-be-discontinued\/","title":{"rendered":"Black &amp; White DS Lites To Be Discontinued?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The most common of DS Lite models, Polar White and Onyx Black, may soon be discontinued as Nintendo looks to avoid causing confusion when it launches its newest version of the handheld, the DSi, later this year.<\/p>\n<p>The white DS Lite has already been discontinued in the States and according to <a href=\"http:\/\/kotaku.com\/5150239\/black-ds-lite-has-been-discontinued\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">reports<\/a>, retailers are now beginning to phase out the black model.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1402 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/nintendodsstockists.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/ds_lites_black1.jpg\" alt=\"ds_lites_black1\" width=\"280\" height=\"280\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unconfirmed at the moment, but the move would make sense seeing as Nintendo\u2019s preparing to release its newest DS model, the DSi, later this year in the West, and initially it\u2019ll probably do so in black and\/or white variations.<\/p>\n<p>We expect a similar phasing out &#8211; of one model at least &#8211; to occur on this side of the pond as well a little closer to the DSi\u2019s planned spring-summer launch, so there\u2019s still time to get your hands on one of the classic white or black models if you feel the urge.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>And even if you were to miss out, you can pick up a DS Lite in almost any colour you want these days \u2013 it\u2019s like Nintendo\u2019s colours of the rainbow strategy or something.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The most common of DS Lite models, Polar White and Onyx Black, may soon be discontinued as Nintendo looks to avoid causing confusion when it launches its newest version of the handheld, the DSi, later this year.
