New Wii Controller Unveiled

Nintendo’s revealed plans to add another item to the Wii’s growing line of peripherals in the shape of the Classic Controller Pro.

As you can see in the picture below, the controller is similar to the Wii’s existing Classic Controller, but it introduces a pair of hand grips, plus some shoulder buttons not dissimilar to those found on PlayStation DualShock controllers.

The new pad is due to launch in Japan this summer and looks perfect if you fancy giving the Wii Remote or Wii Wheel a rest. Unfortunately though, there are no pricing details yet or even confirmation that it will be released in the west, but we see no reason why it wouldn’t be at some point down the line, especially if enough of you want one.
