Although this is bad because the majority of them don&#8217;t work, what makes it a real worry is that they are being sold with dodgy adaptors which haven&#8217;t been tested and are potentially dangerous. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.absolutegadget.com\/200812051966\/news\/games\/customs-warn-over-fake-nintendo-ds-consoles.html\" target=\"_blank\">(source)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>These machines were bought from <a href=\"http:\/\/nintendodsstockists.co.uk\/news\/be-careful-where-you-buy-your-ds-lite-from#asian\">Asian-based console websites<\/a> and had been selling for \u00a340 rather than the nomal retail price of \u00a3100.<\/p>\n<p>Be careful who you buy from!<\/p>\n<p>All the retailers on this site are established merchants, brand names that most of you all recognize &#8211; there are a few names you might not be familiar with but they have been thoroughly checked by us and safe to deal with. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>With regards to Asian sites there are only a few which are established and sell genuine products. A few that we know of and trust anyway.<\/p>\n<p>These are:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/track.webgains.com\/click.html?wgcampaignid=49342&amp;wgprogramid=231\" target=\"_blank\">YesAsia.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.play-asia.com\/SOap-23-83-968k-71-8s-49-en-84-k-40-extended.html\" target=\"_blank\">Play-Asia.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gadget-asia.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gadget-Asia.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>These online stores sell huge amounts of stock to Japan, the US and UK and have been around for years. Other Asian-based websites you may have to do some research on first, however you won&#8217;t need to now you know these ones. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d like to point out just because they are safe to use doesn&#8217;t necessarily mean your shopping experience will be pleasant too &#8211; just like any shop there will always be good and bad reviews on customer service. \u00a0If the issue here is about being ripped off, that will not happen.<\/p>\n<p>If you think this post would be useful for anyone you know, please share it.
