In just over two weeks time a new Star Wars game will be ‘unleashed’ on the Wii,’ Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels.’ After the much heralded ‘The Force Unleashed’, this title seems to be slipping out to a relatively muted fanfare, but it could just be a surprise hit for Star Wars fanatics.
The major pull this time is the fact that the lightsaber will be operated via the Wii-remote, this will hopefully provide fans with what they have always wanted. The opportunity to really feel that they are using the weapon of the Jedi, a weapon which some old geezer once claimed was ‘Not as clumsy or random as a blaster.’
The game is based on the successful ‘Clone Wars’ animated series and allows you to adopt the role of any one of 10 of the most formidable characters from the series, the graphics look great (especially for the Wii) and all that is left to be seen is how well the Wii- Mote work as a lightsaber.
