Following on from our earlier post (and because we love a good dust up!), it has been confirmed that Punch Out, the upcoming remake of the Nintendo boxing classic, WILL make use of the consoles motion controls.
Nintendo’s Senior Director of Corporate Communications, Charlie Scibetta, stated that ‘ It will be interesting to see how gamers react (to the new version); I think they’re going to react great to the motion control capabilities of the Wii. You’re used to hitting buttons and doing your blocks and your throws and dodging out of the way, but now you can do that with your own body.’
This is clearly great news and explains why this game wasn’t made available as Wiiware, but hopefully there will still be an option to enjoy the game using the classic controller……..just like the good old days.
