WiiSpeak has been knocking around for a while but not many people actually knew what it was going to do.
However details are finally emerging and it seems that ‘Wii Speak’ is a dedicated Wii channel which will utilise the hardware illustrated below.
It allows up to four people to chat simultaneously either while gaming or in a dedicated chat room.
Here’s the catch – the Wii Speak channel can ONLY be added if you buy the hardware, this is because it is the only place you will find the code you require to download the channel.
As a sweetener the hardware comes bundled with ‘Animal Crossing : City Folks’, it’s launched in Japan on November 20th retailing at 7,800 yen – that’s about £40.
